Slow Pedal through North Wales

I recently took my first bike-packing trip after almost 20 years since my last backpacking adventure. I started from our store, Velorunner, in Stone, Staffordshire, and rode a short distance to Stafford railway station. From there, I caught a train, and after a few changes, I arrived at Newtown in Powys.

So I then started pedalling to Machynlleth, where I hoped to find fish and chips before finding a place to wild camp. The route, it turned out, wasn't suited to wild camping, so after using a campsite for the first night, I went for an early start, merged days one and two, and started a steady pedal to LLanrug new LLanberris, where I had a lodge booked for the night.
